His grandpa moved from the Philippines to the U.S. by boat, according to Olivia herself. Meanwhile, her mother, Sophia, is of German and Irish descent.
Her mom works as a schoolteacher, and therefore played a big role in Olivia’s early education. She was the one who made Olivia take piano lessons.
