South Korea is notorious for its obsession towards plastic surgery. In fact, data shows that one in 72 South Koreans have gone under the knife.
With that said, people can’t help but wonder if the members of the world’s biggest KPOP band has undergone cosmetic procedures as well.
Indeed, it cannot be denied that the Bangtan Boys have very charming and gorgeous faces. That is one of the reasons why they have such a large fanbase.
On top of that, all seven boys were even included in the TC Chandler’s list of Most Handsome Faces in several occasions.

#1 Rap Monster (Confirmed)
As of the moment, BTS’ leader RM is the only member who has been confirmed to have undergone plastic surgery. He had rhinoplasty, which is a surgery to change the shape of the nose.
Their entertainment company, BigHit Entertainment, released a statement in an attempt to clarify that it was not done for cosmetic purposes, but for his health.
The artist was suffering from breathing problems and even had to skip shows because he was having difficulty breathing. BigHit Entertainment said:
“It is true that he went into surgery. He got the treatment late and was released from the hospital. For the time being, he intends to relax and concentrate on regaining his health.”
#2 Suga (Rumored)
Before-and-after photos of Suga suggest that he might have had double eye-lid surgery to make his eyes look larger and symmetrical. This is a very common procedure among Asians as they tend to lack that certain facial feature.
Although that remains a speculation, Suga has actually undergone surgery before – just not on the face, though. He had a surgery to fix his shoulder problem that was affecting the quality of his life. BigHit Entertainment wrote:
“Suga underwent surgery to repair his torn shoulder labrum on November 3. The surgery, to address a problem that had constantly been a health and wellness issue for Suga, was completed successfully and he is currently resting and recovering following his physician’s advice that Suga must undergo a strict and unhindered period of recovery.”
#3 JHope (Rumored)
Eagle-eyed fans have noticed slight changes to the facial features of JHope over the years. According to experts, the rapper/dancer might have had work done all over his face, including his nose, ears, jawline, and eyes.
As it stands, JHope is rumored to have undergone the most number of cosmetic surgeries among the band. Here are some of the cosmetic surgeries that he might have had:
- Rhinoplasty
- Maxillofacial surgery (jawline)
- Reshaping of the ear lobes
- Eyelid job
#4 Jungkook (Rumored)
If there’s one thing everyone can all agree with, it’s that Jungkook has an immaculate face. Interestingly enough, experts think that the singer’s looks may be mostly all-natural.
The only cosmetic work that JK is rumored to have undergone is some slight changes to his nose shape – but that’s it. Nothing too serious.
Besides, at his age, changes to his facial features are expected to come naturally. He did join BTS during his puberty phase, after all. So, looking at his before-and-after pics isn’t going to give you much information.
#5 Jin (Safe)
Since Jin is the oldest member of the group, any significant and noticeable changes on his facial structures will most likely be due to cosmetic procedures.
But so far, he has looked virtually the same in the past ten years. The only obvious difference between the current Jin and the old Jin is the skin complexion.
Jin used to have a darker skin color than he does now, which may be an indication that he has done something to get lighter skin. Still, that’s not a case of plastic surgery, though. So he’s safe!
#6 Jimin (Safe)
Experts believe that Jimin hasn’t undergone any cosmetic procedure to get the looks he has now.
If there was any work done, massive props to his surgeons because it’s hard to notice any difference to his face at all! In the words of one cosmetic surgeon, Jimin is “naturally blessed” with his facial features.
#7 V (Safe)
And the BTS member who’s least likely to have had any work done on his face goes to V – the same guy who clinched the number one spot of TC Chandler’s Most Handsome Face of 2023.
Fans and experts agree that he’s effortlessly beautiful and charming in his own way. Before-and-after pictures of him show no significant changes to his facial structures, which means that his glow-up was all-natural.
As it stands, none of the BTS boys have publicly confirmed getting any cosmetic surgery on their faces. Hence, please take everything we presented to you with a grain of salt.
Unless the boys themselves admitted to having work done, all speculations about them remain speculations!
